Important Visa Information

1. Please note that, starting October 1, 2003, travelers entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program must have a machine-readable passport (see http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov). Any traveler without a machine-readable passport will be required to obtain a visa before coming to the United States.

2. Due to increasing delays in securing visas to the USA, international attendees should begin this process as early as possible to ensure approval. Participants who need a visa to enter the USA are encouraged to start the application process at least six months before the conference. Information about the visa application process can be found at http://www.aps.org/intaff/visa/ and also at http://www7.nationalacademies.org/visas/. The Organizing Committee of PPHMF-V will provide qualified participants with a letter confirming their intent to attend the Conference. Contact the Conference organizers at for assistance.
