General Information

Conference Site

PPHMF-V will be held on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, at the main conference hall of the University Center. Buses with air-conditioning will be provided to transport people from the conference hotel (DoubleTree) to the conference site.

Accommodations

The conference organizers have negotiated a special discount room rate with the Tallahassee DoubleTree Hotel. The rate is $99 USD per night. Click on hotel information for instructions on how to obtain the special rate.

Meals and Refreshments

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided on site during the conference (August 5 - 9).

Any participant with special dietary requirements should notify the organizer prior to the meeting.

Social Program

• Welcome Reception (Thursday, August 4)
  An informal reception will take place on Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree hotel.
• Barbecue Dinner (Saturday, August 6)
  An outdoor (weather permitting) barbecue dinner will be held at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Conference Banquet (Monday, August 8)
  The Conference Dinner will take place at the Conference site from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The dinner will be served by the University Center Club.
